When activities are planned in advance then there are less chances of confusion and wastage of resources. Planned activities bring reduction in cost as result the efficiency improves. The planning function is needed only when different alternatives are available and we have select most suitable alternative. We can not imagine planning in absence of choice because in planning function managers evaluate various alternatives and select the most appropriate. Obviously, internal audit is a strong necessity for large-scale enterprises or Industry. Under the Indian Companies Act, it is compulsory for a company to get its and its branches accounts audited by a qualified auditor but if there is an arrangement of internal audit by a qualified auditor in any of its branches the government of India can, on submission of application must be supported by a certificate from the Managing Director or manager of the company that there is an adequate and satisfactory arrangement of internal audit, together with a written statement of the company auditor that in his opinion the arrangement of internal audit is adequate and that in his opinion that in his opinion the arrangement of internal audit is adequate and that the accounts of the branch are properly maintained.
